Discover the beautiful beach of La Concha, the incredible views of Mount Igueldo, and even a fabulous anchovy farm on this brilliant trip to San Sebastian and Guetaria. This is an unmissable experience if you are staying in Bilbao.
San Sebastian and Getaria Trip
After picking you up at your hotel in Bilbao between 9:20 am and 9:40 am, we will go by bus to the town of Guetaria in Gipuzkoa, about one hour away.
We will take a guided tour of the historic center of Guetaria, stroll through the traditional fishing port, and pass the beautiful church of San Salvador. We will also see the monument to Juan Sebastian Elcano, a sailor who circumnavigated the globe.
We will also visit an artisan workshop where they make one of the region's traditional products: anchovies. We will discover how fish preserves are produced and enjoy a delicious pintxo snack. This is a real treat for tastebuds.
We will return to the bus and set off for San Sebastian, just half an hour away. The journey will take us through Zarautz, a popular summer hotspot on the Cantabrian coast.
Once we arrive at the capital of the Guipúzcoa region, we will head first to the viewpoint of Mount Igueldo to enjoy a perfect panorama of La Concha beach. Afterward, we will take a walking tour of the city, visiting its main historical buildings. This picturesque city was declared the European Capital of Culture in 2016.
You will then have an hour and a half free time so that you can eat on your own (not included) before returning to the bus at approximately 4 pm.
We then head back to Bilbao, dropping you at your hotel at 5:30 pm.
