Cruise around the sparkling waters of Hawaii's Big Island under the light of a spectacular sunset and dive into the sea to snorkel with manta rays. Is there any better way to spend an evening?
Sunset Cruise & Snorkel with Manta Rays in Big Island Hawaii
After meeting at Keauhou Bay at the scheduled time, your magical evening will begin. Kick off the activity with a short introduction to the safety rules of your cruise and snorkelling experience, before climbing aboard the boat.
Setting sail from Keauhou Bay, you'll cruise over to Kuamo'o Bay, whose rugged coastline will captivate you with its striking black rocks, faithful testament to the volcanic origins of the Hawaiian Islands. While you admire the landscape, you'll learn a little of the history of Big Island and the tragic events that took place in this bay in the early 19th century.
On board the boat, you'll enjoy a delicious snack of sushi and fruit as you watch the sun slowly lower in the sky and illuminate the horizon in spectacular oranges and reds. You'll be enchanted by the spectacular sunset over Hawaii's Big Island, and as the last rays of sunlight fade and darkness falls, it'll be time for you to dive into the sea!
Once you're kitted out with your snorkelling goggles and breathing tube, you'll follow your instructor into the water, guided by their special light board which will allow you to distinguish the manta rays in the dark waters.
Spend an unforgettable 45 minutes swimming with manta rays, before climbing back onto the boat for the return cruise to Keauhou Bay. Enjoy a warming green tea on board for the finishing touch on an exciting evening. Your activity will finish around 8 pm in the summer months, and at 7 pm during the rest of the year.
