Gibraltar Trip
Discover the essential sights and landmarks of Britain's southernmost territory when you take this trip to Gibraltar from Isla Cristina. We will explore the Rock of Gibraltar, St. Michael's Cave, Europa Point, and meet the town's most unique residents - the monkeys.
Gibraltar Trip
We will collect you from your hotel on Isla Cristina early in the morning. After traveling for just over three hours, we will arrive in Gibraltar, one of the most famous points on the Iberian Peninsular due to it being British territory for over 300 years.
Now on British soil, together with our guide, we will take a minibus up to the summit of the Rock of Gibraltar. This enormous rock outcrop reaches up to almost 1400 feet high. The star attraction here though is its residents - the Barbary macaque monkeys. There are currently around 300 of these cheeky chaps living in Gibraltar, and they are the only primates in Europe to live completely freely. Legend has it that as long as they continue to live on the Rock, Gibraltar will continue to be British.
Still on the Rock, we will visit St. Micheal's Cave. Our guide will accompany you through its labyrinthine grottoes full of stalagmites. We will also explain to you all about the important military role the cave has had through history.
After, we will head to the southernmost point in the United Kingdom - Europa Point. From here, we will enjoy some magnificent panoramic views of the sea and the Rif mountains, which are located in Africa.
After exploring Gibraltar Rock from top to bottom, we will head back down to the town to eat in one of its restaurants. You can choose between traditional food of southern Spain or British Gastronomy.
Later, you will have your own free time to explore the streets of the historic city center. Remember that, thanks to the great variety of tax-free shops, Gibraltar is the perfect destination to do some shopping.
Finally, at the end of the afternoon, we will climb back onto the bus and return to Isla Cristina.
