Teguise Market Self-Guided Trip

  • 6 hours

Every Sunday the picturesque Villa de Teguise gets dressed up in its Sunday best, with its traditional market. We'll take you to the stalls so you can do your shopping in peace.

Itinerary

On this excursion, we'll make our way to Teguise, the old capital of Lanzarote. Here you will enjoy half the day free to do shopping, eat, and pass through its historic centre where the colonial era monuments are a highlight.

This excursion takes place on Sunday, the day when the Teguise market takes place. In its diverse market stalls you can find natural products made with products from the island: aloe vera and other plants from Lanzarote. You can also buy the typical cheeses and Canarian sweet delicacies, exquisite in all their forms and varieties

The other star products in the market are the artisanal objects, made by hand by skilled craftsmen. Clothes and accessories also make up a decent proportion of the stalls. Whilst you wander around these stalls you can also enjoy the famous folk dances from Lanzarote, which are often on public show on Sundays. What's more, you can make the most of your free time to try Canarian gastronomy in one of the typical restaurants nearby.

In the evening we leave Teguise to begin the road back to your hotel.
