Funchal New Town Free Tour
Discover the capital of the Madeira islands with this free tour taking in all the sights both modern and older! Your tour begins by the Beer House Restaurant, and from there takes in all the sights the more modern side of the city has to offer.
Highlights include the Santa Catarina Park, originally the site of a chapel built in wood and now one of the focal points for leisure in the city, and the Cathedral, one of the very few structures remaining from the early days of colonization.
Bookworms are sure to be enchanted by the Esperança Bookstore, charming and fascinating in equal measure, and the perfect place to grab a souvenir to take home! And the cherry (or cookie!) on top of the cake is the Biscuits' Factory, where you'll get the chance to try some of the island's typical sweet treats.
All this and much more, over the course of two hours you'll discover the hidden secrets of the city, before putting an end to the tour.
