Experience Guarani culture and traditions on this trip to the aboriginal village of Iriapu, where you'll get to see how this population lives.
Aboriginal Village Trip
We'll start this trip by picking you up from your hotel. Then we'll set off from Puerto Iguazu to the aboriginal village of Iriapu. In the local language, Iriapu means "the sound of water", in reference to the waterfalls that are so characteristic of their natural landscape.
When we arrive at the village we'll find a sign saying "Aguije Vete" (meaning "welcome" in Guarani). We'll immerse ourselves in their culture, visiting the village centre where the inhabitants will show us their way of life. We'll witness, for example, the production of typical artisanal Guarani products (such as necklaces and baskets) which are all completely handmade.
We'll also visit some of the houses in the village, which are all made from natural materials, as is their food and medicine. We'll see aboriginal hunting techniques and medicinal products made from plants using ancient recipes that have been passed down from generation to generation throughout the centuries.
At the end of our visit to Iriapu, we'll head back to our hotels in Puerto Iguazu.
