San Diego is famous for its beautiful beaches, and you'll soon see why as your route takes you along the coastline of La Jolla, a popular seafront neighbourhood. Admire rugged sea cliffs, rocky outcrops and sandy beaches contrasting with the luxury feel of one of the city's most elegant districts.

Immerse yourself in nature next, discovering San Diego's green lung: Balboa Park. Spread across 1,200 acres (490 hectares), it is one of the largest urban parks in the country. As well as natural vegetation areas, landscaped gardens and walking paths, it is home to cultural centres, museums, theatres, and the world-famous San Diego Zoo.

After exploring Balboa Park, you'll delve deep into the picturesque streets of San Diego's historic centre. The Old Town, as it's known, will welcome you in with its brightly-coloured colonial style houses, traditional handicraft stores and lively squares reminiscent of Mexico.

The next stop on your tour will be Coronado Island, a resort city home to paradise beaches and the most stunning views over the bay. You'll then head up to the peak of Mount Soledad, a hill overlooking the city where you'll be able to admire the skyline of San Diego.
