Tenerife Island Tour from the North
Golden beaches, sweeping bays of black sand, ancient trees, World Heritage Sites, mysterious stories of pirates... are you ready to delve into the history, nature and architecture of this incredible isle of Tenerife?
After picking you up from your hotel at 8:30 am, we'll set off towards La Orotava. In this historic town, we'll enjoy a walking tour through its streets and see its most important buildings, such as the Casa de Los Balcones or the Iglesia de la Concepción.
Next, it's on to San Cristóbal de la Laguna. Did you know that for many years this city was the capital of the island? Its historic centre, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, will captivate you with its colourful buildings, such as the Nava Grimón Palace and the La Laguna Cathedral.
Our minibus will then take us to Candelaria, home of the Patron Saint of the Canary Islands. What stories will our guide reveal about the saint and the native Guanche people? We'll discover the relationship between this virgin and the aborigines of the Canary Islands, see the statues of the Guanche kings, and visit the Candelaria Basilica, located on the seafront.
We'll then head towards the western part of the island, crossing the village of Santiago del Teide. The next stop on the tour will be the Teno Rural Park. Here we'll visit the hamlet of Masca, famous for its impossible curves and dreamlike landscapes. You'll have some free time to enjoy the local cuisine.
Get your camera ready! To finish exploring Tenerife, we'll visit Garachico, a village that rose from the ashes after a volcanic eruption in 1706. Its rich artistic heritage will surprise you!
The tour ends back at the hotels of the north of the island at 5:30 pm.
