We'll meet at the scheduled time outside Takayama Jinya, the house of the former governor of the province. From here, we'll begin a walking tour of the centre of this Japanese town.
It's nightfall in the city. The streets are illuminated by lights and they acquire an even more enchanting atmosphere. We'll start talking about Takayama's origins while walking through its historic centre and discovering some of its sanctuaries.
We'll enter Sanmachi Suji, the oldest neighbourhood of Takayama, discovering the beautiful facades of its houses. We'll also talk about the spiritual lifestyle of Japanese culture as we approach the Miyagawa River.
We'll cross the river by the famous red bridge of Nakabashi and, at this point, we'll finish the night tour of Takayama after 40 minutes of exploring.
