We'll meet at 9:30 am at the Allées Forain-François Verdier to start this electric bike tour of Toulouse. Are you ready?
The 15-kilometre cycling route will take us through the most beautiful parts of the historic centre of Toulouse, which is known as the "pink city" of France. We'll pass by the most emblematic monuments of the old town, including the Saint-Étienne cathedral.
We'll also stop at the famous Place du Capitol, where we'll see the façade of the theatre and the Town Hall. Continuing through the historic centre, we'll reach the Basilica of Saint Sernin, the largest Romanesque church in Occitania.
During the tour, we'll also pass by the Canal du Midi: a large navigable canal that connects Toulouse with the coast of the Mediterranean Sea. We'll also take a walk along the banks of the Garonne River, where we'll see the iconic Pont Neuf.
The route along the banks of the Garonne will continue past the old river port of La Daurade and through the garden of La Prairie des Filtres. After learning about its history, we'll return to the starting point, arriving at 12:30 pm.
