Explore Washington DC in the most comfortable and practical way. Get to know the history of the American capital as you visit its most important sites on a double-decker open-top bus that you can hop on and off at any stop to explore the city at your own pace.

Routes and stops

The Washington DC Tourist Bus has three different routes with more than forty stops, making it an excellent way to see all the best bits of this fascinating city. The red line takes you to the American capital's most important landmarks, including the White House, and offers fantastic views of the National Mall. The blue line is dedicated to the unmissable monuments erected in honour of the nation's heroes: you'll see the Arlington Ceremony and the Lincoln Memorial, amongst others. Travel back in time on the yellow line, which heads to the city's most historic neighbourhoods, including the Georgetown area. Learn all about the city's past, present and future from the commentary as you discover DC.

Other unforgettable stops on the routes are the Capitol building, the Washington Monument and the Pentagon as well as the different war memorials.

Consult a city map showing further details of the different loops and all of the stops via the following link:

Combining the three Big Bus routes is the ideal way to explore Washington DC from all perspectives.
