Travel back millions of years in time and discover the planet’s evolution from the Big Bang with your tickets to the Abu Dhabi Museum of Natural History. A fascinating visit to the Emirati capital!
The Abu Dhabi Natural History Museum stands in the Saadiyat Cultural District. Its enveloping structure, designed using biomimetic principles, draws inspiration from the natural rock formations of the Emirati landscape. Upon entering the lobby, it’s striking how it symbolically integrates with the scientific narrative it holds.
With your tickets to the Abu Dhabi Natural History Museum, you’ll gain access to an exhibition space arranged in chronological order that will take you from the origins of the universe to the biodiversity of today. Ready for this journey through time?
You’ll begin by exploring immersive galleries dedicated to the Big Bang. There, you’ll find audiovisual installations and high-resolution projections illustrating the formation of the first galaxies and planetary systems. Did you know that some of the meteorites on display here contain materials older than Earth itself?
You’ll also immerse yourself in the Age of Dinosaurs in its halls, featuring fossilized skeletons, paleoenvironmental reconstructions, and life-size anatomical models.
Get ready to travel seven million years back in time and discover how the area that is now Abu Dhabi was once a lush savanna inhabited by large mammals. In fact, remains of prehistoric elephants and giraffes have been found in this region. What might these creatures have looked like?
Finally, you can visit the gallery, where you’ll learn about current research on sustainability, climate adaptation, and biological conservation. It’s a forward-looking space where science, architecture, and technology come together to tell the story of life on Earth.
The Abu Dhabi Natural History Museum is open daily from 10 am to 8 pm.
