Discover two UNESCO World Heritage Sites on our day trip to Fatehpur Sikri and the Keoladeo National Park. Lush greenery, hundreds of birds and an incredible ghost tour await!
Fatehpur Sikri & Keoladeo Park Private Day Trip
Having picked you up from your hotel in Agra at 5 am, we'll drive to Bharatpur, where the Keoladeo National Park is located. The journey will take us around 1 hour 30 minutes.
When we get there, we'll hop on a rickshaw, a traditional means of transportation in Asia. We'll start making our way around Keoladeo and spotting the wildlife for which this park is famous. Every year, thousands of migratory birds such as cranes, grey herons and green sandpipers fly over the wetlands of this wildlife sanctuary.
We'll get back into our car and drive to Fatehpur Sikri, which is renowned for being the world's most well-preserved ghost town. Its construction was ordered by the Mughal Emperor Akbar in the 16th century, but it was abandoned only 14 years later...
During our tour of Fatehpur Sikri we'll admire its elegant buildings, which were designed in both the Hindu and Islamic architectural styles of the period. We'll also take lots of photos of the Buland Darwaza, a monumental entrance gate to the emperor's palace that towers at 177 feet (54 metres) high. In addition, we'll travel through the public audience pavilion and see the tomb of the saint Salim Chishti.
After seeing these two iconic World Heritage Sites, we'll end the day trip at 1 pm upon our arrival back at your hotel.
