One of the most amazing natural wonders of Saudi Arabia awaits us on this excursion to Elephant Rock. We'll travel through the Al-Ula desert to this spectacular place.
Between 3:15 pm and 3:45 pm, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Al-Ula and drive by minibus to Elephant Rock. On the way to this natural monument, we'll enjoy the incredible views of the Saudi desert.
Once at our destination, we'll get out of the vehicle and you'll be free to explore the area at your leisure. Known in Arabic as Jabal Al Fil, this rock formation is undoubtedly one of the most famous natural monuments in the country. This spectacular rock formation is 52 metres (170 feet) tall and as the name suggests has an amazing resemblance to an elephant!
You may think that this rock formation is man-made as it looks so much like an elephant, but in fact it has been shaped over millions of years by the erosion of rain and wind! During the visit be sure to take lots of photos of this colossal sandstone formation. And you'll also be able to fill up your camera roll with photos of the stunning natural landscape of the sandy desert.
We'll finish the excursion between 7 pm and 7:30 pm at your hotel in Al-Ula.
