On this kayak tour through the Porto Conte Natural Park, you’ll paddle along hidden coves on the coastline of Alguer, combining sport, nature, and the pure essence of the Mediterranean.
We’ll meet at Tramariglio Beach, in the heart of the Porto Conte Regional Natural Park. Before starting the activity, we’ll have a practical introduction so you can get familiar with the kayak and basic paddling techniques.
All ready? Then we’ll head out to sea and begin paddling through the turquoise waters of Sardinia. Soon, we’ll be surrounded by white limestone cliffs, caves shaped by erosion, and small hidden coves accessible only by water. What a privilege!
We’ll continue navigating along the Gulf of Alguer, passing peaceful beaches where the sea is usually calm and the seabed becomes crystal clear. Beneath our kayaks, you’ll be able to spot seagrass meadows, a key Mediterranean ecosystem that oxygenates the water and provides shelter for schools of fish.
It’s not uncommon to see seabream and salema fish, and even cormorants perched on the rocks, watching over the area from above. A truly unforgettable sight!
Our route will take us to Cala Dragunara, one of the most beautiful coves in Porto Conte. Here, we’ll stop for a relaxing swim over vibrant seabeds and enjoy the silence, broken only by the sound of the waves. Did you know that the intense turquoise color of these waters is due to their shallow depth?
Before heading back, we’ll enjoy a seasonal snack and a drink: your choice of soda, wine, or water. Then we’ll paddle back to Tramariglio, feeling like we’ve explored an untouched coastline.
We’ll say our goodbyes after a total of 3.5 hours.
Children aged 7 to 9 can use an individual kayak attached to the guide’s kayak, or they can join a double kayak if requested in advance.
