With this ticket to the Royal Palace of Aranjuez, you can explore the opulent rooms and picturesque gardens of this historic Royal Site, once used by Spanish monarchs as their spring residence!
Summer in La Granja de San Ildefonso, autumn in El Escorial, winter in the Royal Palace of Madrid... For centuries, Spanish monarchs selected specific Royal Sites to enjoy each season. When spring arrived, their residence of choice was the Royal Palace of Aranjuez, a stunning retreat nestled along the banks of the Tagus River.
With this ticket to the Royal Palace of Aranjuez, you’ll have the freedom to explore its majestic halls and chambers at your own pace. As you wander through its corridors, you’ll discover the artistic legacy left by the Habsburg and Bourbon dynasties. The palace’s unique blend of Renaissance and Baroque styles is still visible today, showcased in furniture and decor spanning the 16th to 19th centuries.
One of the most captivating spaces within the palace is the Porcelain Cabinet. This exquisite 18th-century room is adorned with oriental-inspired porcelain figures crafted by the Royal Porcelain Factory of the Buen Retiro Palace in Madrid. Equally impressive is the Arab Cabinet, a room built in the mid-19th century that draws inspiration from the Moorish design of the Alhambra in Granada.
Other must-see highlights include the Great Dining Room, the Hall of Mirrors, and a series of opulent rooms where the personal tastes and decorative preferences of Spain’s kings and queens come to life.
Beyond the palace walls, you’ll find the enchanting gardens of La Isla, El Parterre, and El Príncipe, all located along the Tagus River. These lush landscapes are home to a rich variety of botanical species and a spectacular collection of fountains, including the fountains of Neptune, Bacchus, Diana, and Venus.
Don’t miss the chance to immerse yourself in the elegance and grandeur of this royal springtime retreat. Secure your ticket to the Royal Palace of Aranjuez and step into a world of history, art, and natural beauty.
With your ticket to the Royal Palace of Aranjuez, you’ll also gain access to the Museum of the Royal Falúas, located within the Prince’s Garden. This fascinating museum houses an exhibition of falúas—elegant royal riverboats once used by monarchs for leisure cruises along the Tagus River and other waterways. Among the most remarkable vessels in the collection are the Neapolitan gondola of Charles II and the falúa of Charles IV, both exquisite examples of craftsmanship and royal opulence.
Both the Royal Palace of Aranjuez and the Royal Barges Museum (Museo de las Falúas Reales) are open from Tuesday to Sunday during the following times:
Last Entry: Access and the ticket office close one hour before the monument closes.
Free Admission: The Palace offers free entry on Wednesdays and Sundays from 3 pm to 6 pm (winter) and from 3 pm to 7 pm (summer).
