Boat Ride Details
After picking you up from your hotel in Baracoa, we'll leave the city behind to head to the region of Guantánamo, which is known for its cacao, sugarcane, and coffee production. You'll see plantations everywhere!
During the boat ride, we'll make several stops to learn about the culture of this mountainous area in Cuba. We'll visit the Finca Duaba, a cacao farm, to learn about cacao cultivation by visiting its facilities. You'll learn about its production process and afterward, you'll taste a cup of chorote, a traditional drink made from coconut milk and cacao. Yum!
Next, we'll stop at Toa Ranch, where we'll go on a 1-hour boat ride on the Toa River. Did you know it's Cuba's most abundant river? During the sail, you'll be surrounded by a UNESCO-declared World Network of Biosphere Reserve.
After the boat ride, we'll return to the ranch to enjoy a typical lunch from the region. It's the best way to re-energise!
Then, we'll head to Maguana Beach, which stands out for its white sand and crystal-clear waters. You'll love this paradise! You'll enjoy 2 hours of free time at this spectacular site surrounded by palm trees. Here, you can swim in its warm waters, snorkel, or enjoy lunch with stunning views of the sea. You decide!
Lastly, we'll begin our journey back to Baracoa, where we'll conclude our activity 8 hours after pickup.
