Bocas de Ceniza Day Trip
Bocas de Ceniza Day Trip
We'll pick you up from your hotel in Barranquilla at the designated time and head north to the Las Flores area.
On arrival, we'll board a tourist train that runs 2 kilometers (1.2 miles) through the landscapes of Puerto Mocho. Along the way, we'll take in the incredible scenery this area is famous for, sitting at the meeting point of the river and the Caribbean Sea. Do you know how it got its name?
After the train ride, we'll continue to Bocas de Ceniza, one of the most iconic and historic spots in Barranquilla. We'll walk to the exact point where the river meets the sea and watch as the 2 bodies of water come together in a striking contrast of colors: blue on the left, brown on the right. Incredible!
We'll also take in the impressive infrastructure built in 1936 to channel the waters of Colombia's longest river, one of the greatest engineering works in the country.
We'll wrap up the tour by heading back to Barranquilla by bus, dropping you off at your hotel 4 hours after pickup.
