Discover the impressive jungle landscapes of Sri Lanka with this fantastic trip to Balapitiya. You will also visit the amazing turtle farm of Kosgoda.
At 8:30 am, we will pick you up at your hotel in Bentota, from where we will set off for Balapitiya, just 9 miles.
Once there, we will board a boat for a brilliant three-and-a-half hour trip on the Madu River. While we sail through beautiful mangrove landscapes, we will discover this complex ecosystem of wetlands which has been declared a World Heritage Site.
We will then make a stop so that you can eat in one of the traditional restaurants in the area before setting off for the city of Kosgoda.
If you like sea turtles, then this is the perfect opportunity to learn more about these fascinating amphibians at the conservation project of the Kosgoda turtle farm. You will see different species of sea turtles before they are released into the sea - an unforgettable experience!
Finally, we will take you back to your hotel in Bentota, where we will arrive at 6:30 pm.
