Travel to Germany without leaving Venezuela on this guided tour to Colonia Tovar. Discover an area full of German traditions in the heart of the country. Don't miss out!
At the time indicated, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Caracas to start this day trip to one of the most special areas in Venezuela. Fancy a trip to Germany? Let's go to Colonia Tovar!
We'll climb aboard a minibus and leave the Venezuelan capital behind as we make our way to Colonia Tovar. Located 1,800 metres (5,900 feet) above sea level, this town was founded in 1843 by immigrants from the Grand Duchy of Baden before the formation of the Republic of Germany.
Upon arrival, you'll notice how they've managed to maintain these German traditions from generation to generation. During the tour, we'll discover lots of facts about the area, from its agricultural-based economy to local celebrations. We'll stroll around, admiring its houses which fascinate most visitors.
To make the tour even more special, on the day of the tour, you can pick which 4 stops you want to visit in Colonia Tovar. These include a Cholocate House, the Embutidos Günter sausage house, the Little Tree House, Colonieros artisan wine factory, Mi Kabrita milk factory, Las Hortensias Gardnes and the Ceramic Art House.
Finally, we'll take you back to your hotel in Caracas where we'll end this tour after 3 hours.
You can book up to 1 day in advance if there are any seats left. Book now and guarantee your spot.
