Stunning volcanoes and fishing villages are the stars of this tour along the west coast of Saint Lucia. We'll do a sightseeing tour through areas like Anse La Raye, Soufrière, Canaries, and the Pitons. This is the best way to get to know this part of the country!
Description
At the indicated time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Castries or the cruise terminal before we begin our tour of the west coast of St. Lucia! We'll then board the minibus and get going, making stops in various villages and viewpoints in the western part of this Caribbean country.
The first stop on our tour will be the Marigot Bay viewpoint - an area that saw many battles between the British and the French, as will be explained by our tour guide. We'll then make a brief stop at Anse La Raye.
Afterward, we'll head to a distillery where, if you wish, you can participate in a rum tasting and learn the ins and outs of the distilling process! We'll then make our way to the fishing village of Canaries, known for its colourful houses.
We'll also visit Soufrière, the former capital of Saint Lucia. We'll be transported back in time to the 18th century and see how it was founded by the French and the area's links with Napoleon. The Qualibou volcano will also be visible from here!
After that, we'll go to a restaurant to refuel. With our bellies full, we'll make our way to the Pitons viewpoint - two volcanic cones each declared World Heritage Sites.
The final stops of the tour will be the most eclectic! We'll take a dip in a mud bath at Sulphur Springs, then go on an (easy) hike on the Tet Paul Trail and visit the 15-metre (50 ft) Toraille Waterfall.
After 8 hours of sightseeing, we'll end the tour by dropping you off at your hotel or back at the cruise terminal.
