After picking you up at 7:45 am at your hotel in the center of Cat Ba or at 190-1/4 Street, whichever you prefer, we'll board a minibus and head to the south of the Vietnamese island.
When we arrive at the port, a boat will be waiting for us to embark at 8 am for an excursion in Lan Ha Bay. Once on board, we'll start the cruise next to the floating fishing village of Beo, also passing by Monkey Island and Buddha Island, two of the most popular tourist attractions in the area.
From the waters of Lan Ha Bay, we'll continue our journey into Ha Long Bay. You'll observe the Ha Long city skyline from the boat and then we'll head for Cam Lagoon to anchor for a tasty Vietnamese lunch on board. After replenishing our strength, we'll rest for a few minutes and then go on a kayak tour to visit Monkey Cave, Dark Cave, Bright Cave and Bat Cave.
Then, we'll have a blast snorkeling in the natural area of Ba Trai Dao, after which we'll return to the boat to watch the sunset from the upper deck.
Finally, between 5 pm and 5:30 pm we'll arrive back to the starting point.
Excursion + Night Plankton
Upgrade your experience in Ha Long and Lan Ha bays, and book a tour that includes a night tour by kayak to see the luminescent plankton. In this case, after watching the sunset, we'll go to a restaurant for a delicious traditional dinner of fish and seafood.
With our appetite satiated, we'll get on board a kayak to start paddling in the lagoon and learn how the phenomenon of bioluminescence occurs in the plankton. The hour-long tour will be a perfect opportunity to admire the incredible nocturnal landscape that forms in the area.
Finally, we'll return to the mainland and take you back to the hotel 14 hours later.
