Firstly, we'll make our way to the Spanish neighbourhood in Chefchaouen, as we learn about the links between Spain and Morocco over time. What is the colonial legacy of this part of North Africa?

We'll continue our route at the ancient medina of Chefchaouen, where the exterior of the Grand Mosque awaits our admiration. In addition, we'll visit Plaza Utta-el-Hamman, where we'll see the imposing Kasbah or Alcazaba. Did you know that it dates back to the 15th century and that it was built in 1471 by Rachid Ben Ali to protect the city?

Our exploration of the picturesque houses in Cheghaouen will then lead us to the old city wall gates: Bab Ell Ain, Bab Souk, and Bab Onsar. As we wander under them, we'll see Cheghaouen's famous blue houses and discover why they are decorated with this vibrant shade of indigo.
