Tour Details

We'll meet outside the Sri Ramakrishna Math temple to kick off our free walking tour of Chennai. From this first spot, we'll discover a haven of peace with a simple architecture, perfect for meditation.

Our next stop will take us to the impressive Kapaleeshwarar Temple. Its stunning gopurams (towers) are adorned with colorful sculptures that depict ancient myths. The whisper of prayers and the aroma of incense will create a unique atmosphere.

Then, we'll head to the Jain temple of Vasupujya, a calm space for devotion that contrasts with the frenetic rhythm of the capital of Tamil Nadu. Its delicate marble engravings and serene atmosphere invite visitors to reflect.

We'll continue our tour by visiting the majestic mosque of Jama, a place that honors the Islamic heritage of Chennai. We'll explore its elegant arches and tranquil courtyards, where you can admire the light and shadows that highlight the beautiful architecture.

After this visit, we'll walk to the center of the city until we reach San Thome Church. Its Gothic style will transport you to the colonial period as the light filters through its glass windows, creating a mystical setting. From here, we'll reach the coast, where we'll come across another important location on this free tour.

Lastly, we'll stop at the Chennai Lighthouse, which, along with offering an incredible scenic view of the city and the coast, is the perfect place to feel the sea breeze and admire the immensity of the horizon. Don't forget to take a picture!

Finally, 2 hours later, we'll finish our tour at the promenade of Chennai, the ideal location to soak up the local energy.
