On this day trip to Pozo Azul, we'll take you to enjoy a series of waterfalls and natural pools in the heart of the rainforest of the Valle de Antón. Enjoy a relaxing dip!
We'll begin this day trip after picking you up at the indicated time from your hotel in Valle de Antón. From there, we'll begin a 45-minute drive to Pozo Azul. Be sure to look out the window, as we'll be driving through a lush tropical forest!
As soon as we get there, we'll go on a short walk along a path descending natural rock ramps. We'll arrive at the first pool in this enclave, and we'll see its turquoise waters falling down a medium-high waterfall. There, the surroundings invite you to stop and take your first dip.
Further on, you'll find even denser vegetation. The leaves will be wider and shinier due to the humidity, and among the trees we'll discover some bromeliads and wild orchids. We'll hear the song of native birds and even the echo of howler monkeys.
Afterwards, we'll get to the main pozo that gives its name to this park. There, we'll admire the big natural pool surrounded by an amphitheatre of rocks, from where the water falls from above. This will be the moment to swim, dive, play under the waterfall and relax in this stunning environment.
After 1.5 hours in Pozo Azul, we'll start our way back to Valle de Antón, where we'll say goodbye 3 hours after the initial pickup.
