Take in the rugged landscape and history of Fuerteventura on a full-day tour of the most fascinating parts of the island’s coast and interior.
Begin your day trip by boarding a comfortable air-conditioned minivan (with a maximum capacity of 8 passengers). Set off from your hotel in the north of Fuerteventura to the interior of the island.
Pass through the municipality of La Oliva, crossing its countryside splattered with windmills. During the journey, delve into the history of Fuerteventura. Your guide will reveal the traditions of the island’s first inhabitants who considered Tindaya Mountain a sacred and magical place.
Continuing south, you will stop at the Morro Velosa Viewpoint. This space was designed by César Manrique, a renowned architect from Lanzarote. The lookout point is the perfect location to admire the majestic landscape surrounding Tegú Mountain. Next, the minivan will make its way to Betancuria, the first capital of the city. Here, embark on a guided tour of its historic center and learn about its legends.
The next stop is the Presa de la Peñita (Penita Dam), where the impressive Penita Ravine stands. Next, you will head to Pájara, a picturesque village where you will have one hour to have lunch at your own leisure. The following destination is the small fishing village of Ajuy, famous for its black sand beaches and its caves, where the pirates used to hide out.
Finalize this full-day trip by enjoying the beautiful Corralejo Natural Park and its dunes. From here, you will be dropped-off back at your hotel.
