Day Trip to Cliffs of Moher + Dunguaire Castle

  • 170 reviews | 2,194 travellers
The experience was very good, the weather was not on our side at all, but everything was very nice. There was a moment when the guide almost left us on the ground but for the rest of the excursion there were no more problems. I recommend.

Discover Ireland's most famous cliffs & more!

On this guided day trip to the Cliffs of Moher and Dunguaire Castle, we'll marvel at the epic natural landscapes of the west coast of Ireland as we travel south from Galway on the famous Wild Atlantic Way. Along the way, we'll pass by historic harbours, traditional farms and medieval ruins.

Dunguaire Castle

After meeting at 9:30 am, we'll make our way to our first stop - the magnificent, 16th-century Dunguaire Castle, one of the country's most famous and photographed castles. Once you catch a glimpse of this rugged fortress located on the shores of Galway Bay with your own two eyes, you'll understand why it has become famous the world over.

Burren National Park

Our journey will then lead us to the mesmerising Burren National Park, where you'll encounter otherworldly, moon-like rock formations amidst a vibrant tapestry of native plant life. We'll also soak in the timeless charm of Corcomroe Abbey, the guiding light of Black Head Lighthouse, and the golden stretches of Fanore Beach. Our adventure will then take us to the picturesque town of Doolin, where you'll have some free time to enjoy a bite of lunch!

The Cliffs of Moher

Perhaps saving the best for last, our final stop will be made at the UNESCO-listed Cliffs of Moher - one of the world's most spectacular natural attractions. Here, we'll enjoy 2 hours of free time to enjoy a relaxing walk and truly take in these spectacular coastal rock formations. Use this time to explore, capture stunning photos, and savour the natural beauty.

To conclude the tour, we'll make our way back to Galway, where we'll arrive between 5 pm and 5:30 pm.
