On this tour, which combines land and sea, we'll experience the best of the Maltese archipelago by discovering Gozo's heritage while riding a quad bike and navigating the crystal clear waters of the Mediterranean on a boat trip around Comino.
Activity Details
At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your accommodation or at the meeting point you choose when booking. From there, we'll begin this adventure through the islands of Gozo and Comino, two unforgettable stops on the Maltese archipelago.
Firstly, we'll board a boat that will take us on a cruise around the island of Comino. During 45 minutes of sailing, you'll enjoy the breathtaking views of its coastline, passing by the amazing Blue Lagoon, known for its crystal-clear cyan waters.
Along the boat trip, you'll also see the beautiful Crystal Lagoon, one of the most picturesque and protected lagoons of the whole archipelago, and the captivating sea caves of Comino. You'll love it!
Afterwards, we'll head to the island of Gozo, where you'll disembark for the second part of this exciting day: a quad bike tour! You'll receive a short safety briefing, and then you'll be ready to drive.
With the quad bikes, we'll approach highlights of the island such as the Ta' Ċenċ and Xlendi Cliffs, which rise up to 120 m (393 ft) high. Then, we'll pass by Dwejra Bay, where one of Gozo's four remaining watchtowers, built during the rule of Grand Master Giovanni Paolo Lascaris, stands.
As the quad biking route progresses, the sky will be tinged with the colours of the sunset, a unique opportunity that will provide you with the best souvenir photos. As well as that, we'll make a stop in the middle of nature to refuel with a picnic snack.
After eating, we'll continue our tour to another of the island's great attractions: the National Shrine of Our Lady of Ta 'Pinu. Did you know that Pope John Paul II celebrated Mass here during his visit to the island of Gozo on May 26, 1990?
From there, we'll drive into the Għasri Valley to the Xwejni salt pans. Here, we'll learn about the tradition of salt harvesting in Gozo. Salt is produced by evaporating seawater in the ponds, and once a month, in the summer, the salt is collected and packed by hand.
After discovering this spectacular place, we'll move on to the bays of Qbajjar and Marsalforn, where we'll conclude our quad biking tour. Weather permitting, we'll return to Malta on the boat we arrived on. If this is not possible, we'll return by public ferry.
Finally, from the port, we'll bring you back to the departure point, where we'll say our goodbyes after a total of 8 hours.
