We'll pick you up at the indicated time at your hotel in Granada, and take a 1.5-hour drive to Managua, the Nicaraguan capital!
First, we'll stop at the Loma de Tiscapa, a natural viewpoint located on an ancient volcanic crater. From there, we'll have magnificent panoramic views of Lake Xolotán and the city. Here we'll also see the Monument to General Sandino, a symbol of the country's resistance.
Our journey continues at the Plaza de la Revolución, where we'll see the old cathedral of Managua, that was partially destroyed during the 1972 earthquake.
Later, we'll head to the Salvador Allende promenade. Along this lakefront path, we'll give you 1.5 hours of free time to explore the area and grab a bite to eat at your own pace. It's the perfect place to relax with panoramic views!
After lunch, we'll resume the tour and visit the Flor de Caña Boutique, the distillery of one of the most awarded rums in the world. Here, we'll enjoy a multisensory experience that will immerse us in the tradition and history of this century-old brand.
From here, we'll visit the showroom for about an hour, where we'll learn about the different types of rum produced by Flor de Caña, from its classic vintages to its luxury editions.
The experience will reach its peak with a tasting of rum straight from a barrel. We'll learn the five ways to enjoy this drink. The best part? We'll make our own rum blend, which we'll bottle and label to take home as a souvenir.
Finally, we'll return to Granada, where we'll say goodbye and drop you off at your hotel 8 hours later.
