After meeting at your hotel in Haputale, we'll embark on a journey to one of the most famous tea plantations in the world!
The history of tea in Sri Lanka began more than 200 years ago and, as we tour the plantations, we'll appreciate how important this drink is to the country. We'll get on the tuk-tuk and head to our destination, where we'll be surrounded by a unique and breathtaking lush landscape.
We'll walk among the Lipton black tea plantations and see how the workers pick the leaves. You can even pick some yourself! Finally, we'll take a break to recharge our batteries with a snack before returning to your hotel.
If in addition to touring the tea plantations, you'd also like to try the traditional dishes of the area, this is the perfect option for you! Besides the above-mentioned itinerary, we'll also travel by tuk-tuk to a private house to learn how to prepare delicious dishes typical of Haputale.
