2-Day Folk Festival in Ibagué
Day 1
At 8 am we'll pick you up at the Combeima shopping center to begin this 2-day experience in which we'll immerse ourselves in the folk tradition in Ibagué. We'll start with a guided tour of this town, which is known as the Musical Capital of Colombia.
As soon as the tour begins, you'll see the many monuments dedicated to music that are scattered throughout the city, and we'll see key buildings such as the Conservatory of Tolima. We'll stop for lunch at a local restaurant, and then we'll take a 4x4 vehicle around Ibagué, up to the Combeima Canyon, one of the most beautiful natural sites in the area.
We'll go to the Los Sauces viewpoint, where we'll admire a beautiful panoramic view of the surroundings, and enjoy a snack of aguapanela with cheese, two typical products from the region. In the afternoon, you'll have a great time touring the center of Ibagué, and after dinner, we'll continue enjoying the Ibagué nightlife.
Day 2
We'll wake up and have breakfast at the hotel. Then we'll leave quickly to not miss the National Folklore Parade of Ibagué. We'll see regional dances, typical costumes, music, and, above all, lots and lots of partying. You'll be able to enjoy this show from the box, with unbeatable views!
After the parade, we'll go to a local restaurant for lunch and then continue with the fun at Playa Hawaii, a recreational park where you can do all kinds of activities such as kayaking, water bike rides, or swimming in the natural pools.
Finally, we'll take you back to the point where we picked you up on the first day. The activity will come to an end at around 5 pm.
Accommodation
The tour includes one night's accommodation in a hotel in Ibagué.
