Activity Details
We'll pick you up from your hotel in Kandy at 7 am. From there, we will make a pleasant road trip by private vehicle, into the country's interior.
About three and a half hours later, we will arrive at our destination: the spectacular Horton Plains National Park. As soon as you get out of the vehicle you will be amazed by the beautiful green landscapes that surround you.
We will taker a gentle hike through this unique place, in search of some of the area's wonderful wildlife. We may see the colorful Wali Kukula bird as it is a common inhabitant here. This region is also home to magnificent leopards and it is possible that we will spot them too!
After walking through the park, the guide will help you choose a good restaurant to eat and replenish your energy (not included) before we continue with the tour.
Having regained our strength, we will move on to Nuwara Eliya, the tea industry capital of Sri Lanka. Here, we will learn about the production process of the world's most popular drink, from the plantation through to the arrival at our homes.
Finally, we'll take the road back to Kandy, arriving between 7 pm and 9 pm, depending on traffic.
