Admire Asian elephants, Sri Lankan turtles and dozens of birds with this safari around Hurulu Eco Park. It's a unique experience to take advantage of from Kandy!
Hurulu Eco Park Safari
We'll leave from your hotel in Kandy at 11 am. Three hours later we'll arrive at one of the most famous nature reserves in Sri Lanka, Hurulu Ecological Park.
At the entrance, we'll get on a jeep and begin the photographic safari around Hurulu. As we drive along we'll discover the biodiversity of this area of Sri Lanka: turtles, leopards, amphibians... The different ecosystems around the reserve are also home to a variety of bird species such as parrots, hawks and peacocks.
After a break to have your picnic, we'll arrive at the best moment of the safari: the Hurulu elephants sighting. You'll be amazed by the enormous size of these animals up close! As we approach the herds, we'll find out about the curious customs and way of life of these mammals.
The last stop will be at the Hurulu wewa reservoir, where a variety of bird species stop at the shore to drink. Many of these birds are able to cross hundreds of miles just to cool off by these waters in Sri Lanka.
Finally, the safari will conclude back at the entrance where we'll get the minibus to Kandy. Arrival at your hotel in Kandy is set for 8:30 pm.
