Discover Dark View Falls, one of the main attractions around St. Vincent and the Grenadines. You'll also visit charming fishing villages and beaches such as Wallilabou.
Dark View Falls Tour
The Dark View Falls tour will start at the Kingstown cruise terminal at 9 am where a bus will take us to some of the most beautiful sites in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, such as Dark View Falls, Buccament Beach or Wallilabou Bay.
First, we'll enjoy a sightseeing tour of Kingstown, to discover its history and its most emblematic monuments, including the Financial Complex, the Caribbean Supreme Court and the Market Square. Before leaving the city, we'll pass by the symbolic Church Street, where we'll see Kingstown's three churches.
Afterward, we'll head to Fort Charlotte, a fortress from the British colonial era with a breathtaking view of the whole of Kingston. We'll then return to the bus and pass by Layou and Barrouallie, two small fishing villages. Here we'll stop to show you their close relationship with the French colonies during the 18th century.
Following on, we'll head to Wallilabou bay. Does the view ring a bell? Maybe if we mention the Pirates of the Caribbean, the scenes of the islands where Jack Sparrow and Will Turner sailed to will come to mind. Here we'll have the chance to enjoy the beach for half an hour and even take a refreshing dip.
Then, we'll pass through Cumberland Bay, learn about the work being participated in at the Troumaca Primary School, and visit the fishing village of Chateaubelair located south of the La Soufrière volcano.
Then we'll get back on the bus and travel to the Dark View Falls, two spectacular waterfalls that end up forming natural pools. There will be two short hiking trails around them to get to know both waterfalls and the island's characteristic rainforest.
We'll conclude the excursion by taking a well-deserved break at Buccament beach, where we'll get a close look at the mountains and the coast. Don't miss the opportunity to immortalise this stunning view!
After five hours of exploring the island, we'll return to the starting point.
