Medieval towns, the Adriatic coast and legendary history: discover some of Montenegro's most beautiful places on this tour of Budva, Njeguši and Cetinje from Kotor.
Budva, Njeguši & Cetinje Tour
After meeting at 9 am at Old Town 513 in Kotor, we'll board a minibus and set off on our excursion to three of the most beautiful places of interest in Montenegro.
From Kotor, we'll head to Njeguši, a historic town characterised by its typical stone houses. Here we'll learn all about the Petrović-Njegoši dynasty, the family who ruled Montenegro for several hundred years until 1916, and who came from Njeguši. We'll also have the opportunity to enjoy a tasting of local products - the perfect finishing touch on our visit.
We'll then make our way to Cetinje, the former royal capital of Montenegro. Reaching the town, we'll find the Blue Palace, official residence of the President of Montenegro, and the Cetinje Monastery, which dates back to the 15th century. After a guided tour of the important historical sites of Cetinje, you'll have free time to get some lunch in this picturesque city.
Continuing on our tour of Montenegro, we'll head down to the Adriatic coast to visit the Medieval city of Budva. We'll discover the Venetian influence on its architecture and admire the churches of Saint Ivan and Saint Mary in Punta, the two oldest churches in the city.
At the end of our tour of Budva, Nejeguši and Cetinje, we'll return to our original departure point in Kotor for 4 pm.
