Tour Activity
At the appointed time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in La Paz to begin this day trip to El Triunfo, one of the hidden jewels of the Baja California Sur desert. After leaving the city behind, we'll stop along the way to enjoy a delicious breakfast in a typical restaurant, an ideal way to start the day!
After about an hour's drive, we'll arrive at the Silver Route Museum. Here we'll take a 1-hour guided tour that will take us back to the golden age of the Porfiriato, when El Triunfo was the heart of the mining industry in the southern peninsula. Through original artifacts, historical accounts and centuries-old structures, you'll be immersed in the legacy of this emblematic town.
Our journey continues at the Cowboy Museum, a modern space dedicated to rural traditions and the ranching way of life. For an hour, we'll explore how these customs have endured to this day and form an essential part of the region's identity.
Later, we'll enjoy a 1-hour walk along the village trails. Guided by local experts, we'll walk through mining ruins, brick chimneys and old roads that still whisper legends of the past. It'll feel like we've traveled back in time!
Before returning, you'll have an hour of free time. We recommend having a coffee on a terrace overlooking the desert, exploring the handicraft stores and grabbing lunch in one of the local restaurants. A perfect break to savor the tranquility of El Triunfo.
Finally, we'll return to La Paz and say goodbye at your hotel after a total of 7 to 8 hours of hiking.
