We'll pick you up at the indicated time at your hotel in La Serena and, from there, we'll drive into the valley of the Elqui River in the direction of Vicuña.
In the outskirts of this town, which is also the birthplace of Gabriela Mistral, are the Amatista, Pangue, Mamalluca, Collowara and Omega observatories. We'll visit one or some of them, depending on availability.
Once we arrive at this prestigious astronomical observation centre, we'll attend a short talk on astronomy. Did you know that the Elqui Valley has one of the clearest skies in the world? To prove it, at the end of the talk, we'll do an unforgettable stargazing activity. With the help of powerful electronic telescopes, we'll admire the celestial vault in all its splendour. As we gaze at the Chilean sky, we'll see planets, galaxies and constellations. It will be very exciting!
The experience will continue with a stargazing session where you can relax on cozy yoga mats and snuggle up in soft blankets. Using a laser pointer, we’ll explore constellations and stars while you listen to an epic story about the cosmic origins of our universe. Plus, you'll enjoy a sound therapy session featuring Tibetan bowls, quartz, and gongs, helping you deeply connect with the serene night sky.
Finally, we'll return to La Serena, where we'll arrive at your hotel 6 hours after pickup.
