At the designated time, we'll pick you up at a location near your hotel in the Algarve to begin this day trip to Lisbon.
Upon arrival in the Portuguese capital, we'll head into the historic Belém district, the birthplace of Portugal’s great explorers. During the tour, we'll see the majestic Jerónimos Monastery and the Monument to the Discoveries, two essential architectural gems.
Next, we'll travel along the banks of the Tagus River, passing the iconic Belém Tower on our way to the historic city center. Once in the heart of the city, we'll explore the traditional Alfama district, famous for its narrow cobblestone streets, houses adorned with azulejos, and its authentic Atlantic atmosphere.
You'll have 2 to 3 hours of free time to, if you want, visit St. George’s Castle for unforgettable panoramic views, wander through the city’s lively squares, or sample some delicious local cuisine.
Afterward, we'll regroup and begin our return journey south, crossing the impressive Vasco da Gama Bridge, the longest bridge in Europe.
