There's an incredible natural phenomenon that's well worth seeing in Laguna: dolphins and fishermen working together toward a single goal. During this fisherman dolphin-watching activity in Laguna, we'll get to see how these animals help fishermen catch fish. It's quite astounding!
We'll pick you up at the selected time at your hotel in Laguna and head over to the shores of the Barra Channel.
Once there, we'll begin observing a unique interaction between humans and dolphins. These animals, in their natural search for food, surround the fish, facilitating the work of local fishermen. The fish that aren't caught by humans serve as food for the dolphins, who wisely learned years ago that in participating this way, they will have a substantial food reserve.
While we walk along the Barra Channel, we'll learn tons of fascinating fun facts about fisherman dolphins. This joint activity between animals and humans only takes place in a few places in the world. In the case of South America, the Brazilian coast of Laguna is the place where this surprising phenomenon happens most frequently.
After observing the fisherman dolphins in Laguna, we'll head to another area of the coast to see a famous natural monument, the Pedra do Frade and find out why this rock is so well known.
From the Pedra do Frade we'll finally return to your hotel in Laguna, where we'll arrive four hours after pickup.
The coast of Laguna is one of the best places in Brazil to see fisherman dolphins and other sea creatures. However, being that they are wild animals in their natural habitat, they are unpredictable. This means that spotting them or not will depend on various factors such as the weather at the time or the reproduction and breeding seasons of the different species.
