History, modernity, nature... Be amazed by the contrasts around the Peruvian capital with this Lima City Tour and visit the Santo Domingo Convent and more. Discover the best that the city has to offer!
Options
When booking, you can choose between 2 different options. Both include pickup from your hotel in Lima, a visit to the Santo Domingo Convent, and the return transfer:
Santo Domingo Convent + Casa del Oidor (3.5 Hours)
If you choose this option, our first stop will be the exterior of the archaeological site of Huaca Pucllana. In front of its 25-metre-high pyramid, we'll discover the pre-Hispanic history of Lima. Would you like to find out how they lived here between 200 and 800? Afterwards, we'll enjoy a tour of Lima's historic centre, contemplating the façades of some of its most emblematic places.
We'll also visit the Casa del Oidor, where we'll take a trip back in time to the middle of the 16th century. There, we'll enjoy a delicious tasting of Peruvian cacao.
Our next stop will be one of the most awaited. Ready to venture into the Santo Domingo Convent? Here, we'll find the relics of Saint Rose of Lima, Saint Martin de Porres, and Saint John Macias. Additionally, we'll find a library of over 15,000 ancient books.
Schedule: Departures at 9 am and 2 pm.
Santo Domingo Convent + Larco Museum (4.5 Hours)
If you opt for this tour, instead of visiting the Casa del Oidor, we'll explore the Larco Museum, housing the best private collection of pre-Columbian art in Peru. Afterwards, we'll get to see a pre-Columbian archaeological site in the heart of a residential zone.
Next, we'll head over to the Historical Centre of Lima to stroll through its streets to see the colonial architecture here. We'll then reach the Santo Domingo Convent and venture inside.
To end the tour on a high note, we'll taste a delicious typical Peruvian desert.
Schedule: Departure at 8:30 am.
Hotel Pickup
The tour includes pickup at the hotels of Barranco, Miraflores and San Isidro. If you're staying in other areas, we'll contact you to offer you an alternative meeting point.
