Podocarpus National Park and Vilcamba Tour
At 8:30 am we’ll pick you up at your hotel in Loja and board the minibus for an excursion around the city. The first stop on the route will be the Podocarpus National Park, the natural jewel par excellence of this area of Ecuador.
We’ll arrive at this incredible natural area to appreciate the biodiversity of the place and get to know the native species of the area while we follow the Bear Route. During the hike through the Podocarpus Park we will see waterfalls, valleys, viewpoints and a myriad of exotic plants. Get your camera ready!
Afterwards, we will head to Vilcabamba to get to know this parish of Loja, located in the Valley of Longevity. Did you know that its inhabitants are reputed to be the longest-living people in the world? As we stroll through the city of eternal youth, we will discover its main tourist attractions, concentrated in the Plaza de la Iglesia.
On the way to Loja, we’ll make a brief stop in Malacatos, a coffee and sugar cane producing town known for its blue and white church. After a short walk through the area, we’ll return to the minibus and head back to Loja, where we will arrive at 2:30 pm.

At the time of booking, you can book the option that includes lunch in a local restaurant. You will have a main course and a dessert to put the icing on the cake of the tour. In this case, we’ll arrive at the hotels in Loja between 3:30 and 4:00 pm.
