Do you want to discover the marine life along the Costa Maya? On this snorkel tour in Mahahual, we'll see sea turtles swimming in the crystal-clear waters.
Description
At the indicated time, we'll meet at the diving centre located inside Blue Kay, in Mahahual. There, we'll make our introductions and hand out your life jackets and snorkelling equipment.
As soon as we're ready, we'll board the boat with our life jackets on and set sail towards the southern end of Mahuahual. We'll skirt the coast to the reef area, which is protected by a natural dam.
Once the boat is anchored and we're all ready, we'll jump into the water. The area where we'll snorkel has a depth of almost 2 metres (6.5 ft). While there, we'll visit 2 of its zones: the seagrass zone and the coral zone.
The first one is where sea turtles are found, as it's the one that serves as food for these fascinating animals. The second will give us the opportunity to see countless tropical fish, lobsters, squid and lush marine flora. If we're lucky, we'll encounter thornback stingrays and even an eagle ray. There's a whole world to discover!
After 1.5 hours, we'll finish the activity back at the initial meeting point.
