Tour Details
At the designated time, we'll meet at the Starbucks in Parque Hidalgo and board a vehicle heading to Chichén Itzá. As we leave Mérida behind, we'll introduce you to the fascinating world of Maya culture, covering their architecture, astronomical knowledge, and the enigmas that still surround this ancient civilization. You'll be amazed!
We'll arrive at the Chichén Itzá archaeological site while the sun is still gentle and before the big crowds arrive, a privileged time slot that lets us explore the site at a relaxed pace and soak up its mystical atmosphere to the fullest.
Over 1.5 hours, we'll take a guided tour of Chichén Itzá's most iconic structures. We'll admire the Castle of Kukulkán, a magnificent stepped pyramid that served as a solar calendar and where, during the equinoxes, the shadow of a descending serpent is projected along its staircase.
We'll also visit the Temple of the Warriors, surrounded by a forest of columns representing ancient Maya fighters and steeped in religious and military symbolism.
And of course, no visit would be complete without the majestic Ball Court, the largest in Mesoamerica, where the Maya held rituals and competitions with deep spiritual significance.
After the tour, you'll have 30 minutes of free time to explore the site at your own pace and capture some unique photos of this archaeological treasure. We'll share our best tips for photographing every corner!
Finally, we'll make our way back to Mérida and say our goodbyes at the starting point after a total of 7 to 7.5 hours out exploring.
