Looking to visit one of the most beautiful islands in Cape Verde? In that case, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Mindelo at the designated time to begin this tour of São Vicente.
We'll begin on a high note with a guided tour of Mindelo. We'll pass by the historical centre and visit its vibrant markets while we speak about this Cape Verde island's history. What a great start!
Afterwards, we'll begin our journey east towards the Monte Verde Natural Park, a landscape that is known for its vegetation and mountains. As soon as we arrive, you'll be surprised by its wild surroundings. Additionally, we'll reach an altitude of 700 metres (2300 feet), the highest point of São Vicente. We'll taste a delicious tea while we admire the breathtaking views.
Our next stop? The fishing village Salamansa, located in the north, will welcome us with its characteristic small coastal village charm. Here, you'll have free time to explore, relax on the beach, swim, and grab a bite to eat at a local restaurant.
We'll then hop back into our vehicle and drive down the scenic Baia-Calhau road. Here, you'll have spectacular views of the dunes, formed because of the winds that carry sand from the Sahara. Incredible, isn't it?
We'll then begin our journey back to Mindelo and we'll say our goodbyes at your hotel after a total of 6 hours.
