Yala National Park Safari
At the designated time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Mirissa and travel by bus to Yala National Park.
Upon arrival at this protected natural area in the south of Sri Lanka, we'll swap vehicles to embark on an unforgettable safari in 4x4 through Yala National Park. During our journey through this magnificent environment, which spans over 97,000 hectares (239,692 acres), we'll see one of the most numerous colonies of leopards in the world.
After observing these felines up close, we'll pause at one of the park's picnic areas for you to enjoy breakfast. Afterward, we'll continue our safari to the Yala Asian elephant colony, where we'll see entire herds of elephants!
During the tour, we'll also spot more than 100 species of birds. We'll also have the opportunity to see crocodiles, bears, wild boars, and other wild species that live in this ecosystem of great biodiversity. It's sure to be a day full of wildlife spotting! We'll pause again for lunch, so bring your picnic basket!
Finally, at the end of the 4x4 safari, we'll return to the park entrance, where we'll get back on the bus to return to Mirissa. After an exhilerating 11 to 13 hours of safari, we'll drop you off at your hotel.
