At the time of your choice, we'll meet on Via Ricasoli to start our guided tour of Montalcino. Get ready to walk through a beautiful town in the Orcia Valley!

We'll walk through the historical center of this medieval town while we take you through the most fascinating chapters of its history. You'll learn all about the role it played in the conflicts between Siena and Florence and why it became a refuge for the nobility during the times of battles between these two cities. 

During the tour, we'll admire the exteriors of the 14th-century Fortress of Montalcino, the Palazzo dei Priori and the Palazzo Pieri, among many other emblematic buildings. We'll also talk about the town's winemaking tradition, famous for its Brunello di Montalcino variety with denomination of origin.

At the end of the tour of Montalcino, you'll get in your car and follow the guide, who will drive their own vehicle, to the Abbey of Sant'Antimo, just 15 minutes away.

Did you know that this monument is considered one of the most important monastic complexes in Tuscany? We'll enter the church and admire the Romanesque decorations of this temple founded in the year 750 by the emperor Charlemagne. With a little luck, we may even be able to hear the Gregorian chants of the Benedictine monks who still live here!

After three hours of sightseeing, we'll conclude the tour at the starting point.
