On this guided tour of the Kremlin Armoury, we'll take you to discover military artefacts from different periods and the famous collection of Fabergé eggs. A must in Moscow!
Tour Details
We'll meet next to the Kutafya Tower, from where we'll enter the walled Kremlin complex to visit the Moscow Armoury Museum. Its exhibition offers one of the most comprehensive collections of military artefacts and armour in the world.
Although weapons from different historical periods occupy a large part of the rooms, they are not the only attraction. During our 2-hour tour, we'll also visit the famous collection of Fabergé eggs, decorative objects that are very popular at Easter, whose decoration makes them priceless pieces.
We'll also stop in the rooms where royal carriages from different periods are on display. These vehicles, dating from the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries, are true works of art due to the careful decoration of both their exteriors and interiors. Another area of the museum that is well worth seeing is the exhibition of Russian tableware and cutlery, where you can see utensils for formal occasions and everyday meals in artistic styles such as Rococo.
If you wish, you can also visit the famous Diamond Fund, where you'll find one of the most impressive collections of precious stones in the world, comparable only to the Crown Jewels of the United Kingdom or the Persian Crown Jewels.
