At the scheduled time, we’ll meet at 60/1 Siriwardana Place, on the shores of Negombo Lagoon, where we’ll begin an unforgettable water adventure. Ready to start paddling?
Before heading out onto the water, we’ll spend a few minutes on an introductory session. A specialized local guide will explain the basic safety rules and paddling techniques so that, whether you’re experienced or it’s your first time, you’ll feel completely comfortable in your kayak.
Once prepared, we’ll set off to explore this unique ecosystem on the west coast of Sri Lanka. For 2 hours, we’ll be surrounded by lush mangroves and calm waters. It’s the perfect place to disconnect while observing local fishermen and their traditional techniques up close.
Don’t forget to look at the sky and among the roots. The lagoon is a true paradise for birdwatching enthusiasts, where it’s common to spot various species of exotic birds that inhabit the nearby islets. If the weather allows, we’ll also have the chance to enjoy a refreshing swim near the edge of the lagoon to complete the experience.
Finally, we’ll return to the starting point, bringing this special route around Negombo Lagoon to an end.
