Private Udawalawe Day Trip
Private Udawalawe Day Trip
We'll pick you up from your hotel in Negombo at 7 am and travel to the interior of Sri Lanka, the home of the famous Udawalawe elephants.
During the tour around this natural space, we'll see the numerous herds of elephants up close. These Asian animals take advantage of the lagoons in the area to drink and rest from their long walks. While we observe these great creatures we'll find out some curious facts about them, and learn to distinguish them from their African "cousins".
The tour will continue to the Udawalawa Dam. This hydroelectric engineering masterpiece, which came into operation in 1969, supplies drinking water to the nearby towns in this area of Sri Lanka. You'll be surprised! Afterwards, we'll go to the city of Udawalawa, where you'll have one hour of free time to have lunch.
After exploring other places of interest in the area, we'll head back to your hotel in Negombo, ending the tour at 7 pm.
