Become a certified diver in Nilaveli with this PADI Open Water Diving Course. You'll learn to dive up to 18 metres and enjoy an unforgettable experience.
PADI Open Water Diving Course
Day 1: Confined water practice
On the first day of the course, we'll pick you up from your hotel at 8:30 am and take you to the diving centre in Nilaveli. When we arrive, we'll go over some of the basic theory together before getting kitted out and heading to the water.
In a completely safe environment, we'll practice techniques such as buoyancy, emptying water from the mask, taking off and putting on the regulator... Everything you need to know for your experience out at sea!
Days 2 and 3: Open water dives
On the second and third day of the course, we'll be putting into practice everything we learnt on the first day.
After picking you up from your hotel, we'll take you back to the diving centre where we'll put on our equipment, hop on a speedboat and head out to open water.
Over these two days, we'll complete a total of four dives so you can become a certified scuba diver! Once you've successfully carried out all the exercises, you'll have finished your PADI Open Water Diver Course and will be certified to dive up to a depth of 18 metres - congratulations!
Duration
The average duration of the course is three days. However, if you're staying in Nilaveli for longer, want to attend theory classes in person or need some extra days to complete the exercises, the course can be completed in a maximum of five days.
